Acosta
Sebastian Acosta is a Guitar player and singer born in Ecuador and half French. He began to play the guitar at 16 playing rock and metal passing to Blues and traditional rock as well as traditional and contemporary jazz. He studied a jazz Performance undergrad at Universidad San Francisco (Berklee Network) in Quito-Ecuador and played with several gig bands and different musical projects during his studies.
After finishing his studies he put together a Blues and Rock band called La Blues Gang host band of a weekly blues and funk jam session. After 2 years of playing regularly with this band they recorded a CD with Sebastian’s compositions and lyrics. projects.
At the same time he was full time teacher at the UDLA music school (Universidad de las Americas) staying there for 2 years. He also played in different jazz formats and one that he initiated is Imagenes Sonoras (Sound images) that performed Sebastian’s compositions.
Now he is living in New York studying a master’s Degree in jazz Performance at NYU and looking forward for new musical experiences.
